The official opening of the 2017 Fab Fakes Exhibition was held on the evening of the 17 Novermber to an enthusiastic audience of invited guests and members at Wyong's Art House.
The ceremony was officiated by Central Coast Council's Julie Vaughan.
1st Varvara Naumova for "The Reconciliation of Oberon and Titania by Sir Joseph Noel Paton
2nd Jenny Cattonar "After the Bath" by Harriette Sutcliffe
3rd Jim Dowling "The Cave of the Storm Nymphs" by Sir Edward Poynter.
A TLAS "Lifetime Membership" was awarded to Robert Chapman presented by another Lifetime Member. Pam Barry
2016 Opening to the Exhibition
A record crowd were in attendance for last year's Fab Fakes exhibition at the Wyong Art House on Friday 18th November.
Fab Fakes are an initiative of TLAS since 1997. Fab Fakes are recreated masterpieces of famous artists. The artist being copied must have been deceased more than 70 years. Any medium may be used, but colours must be faithful to the original.
